Phone Call Script 3 – Price Shopper

This is one of our most common calls, the is actually a new patient in disguise. They are a potential new patient and if we don’t answer it correctly, they are the most commonly missed opportunities in the dental office.

Team Member: Thank you for calling Lakeside Dental & Wellness, this is (Name) speaking. Can I have your name please?

Caller: (Name).

Team Member: Hello (Name), how can I help you?

Caller: How much do you charge for XYZ service?

Team Member: Well (Name), you’ve called the right place. Dr. X takes great pride in doing XYZ service. (Ask an open ended question)

Open Ended Questions

  • Have you been told you need XYZ service?
  • Tell me a little bit about what happened that makes you think you need XYZ service?
  • Have you had a XYZ service before?
  • Is price something that’s most important to you?
  • Tell me a little bit about your budget? What type of payment options are you interested in?

Team Member: “Let’s do this, because I believe Dr. XYZ would take amazing care of you lets get you scheduled for a no charge consultation to meet him so that he can go over your options and I can give you a more accurate estimate tailored especially for you. What day of the week do you have the most control over?

Caller: Mondays.

Team Member: Do you prefer morning or afternoon appointments?

Caller: Afternoons.

Team Member: How about this coming up Tuesday at 1 PM?

Caller: That works!

Team Member: (Name), we are looking forward to meeting you. We will be sending over all new patient forms and out comfort survey prior to your appointment to ensure that your experience is amazing. Thank you again for taking the time to call us. See you at your appointment this Tuesday at 1 PM.

Caller: See you then!
